Hanbury Hall House Gardens & Park Review.

So we decided to have a day out at Hanbury Hall House Gardens & Park. We had previously had look on the internet and from the site it looked quite nice and had gardens, all which we like so decided to go and see what it was like.
Adult tickets price was £12.00 as we gift aided and that was for everything but its £10.60 if you don't want to pay giftaid.
When we arrived it looks really nice, the parking was very easy and plenty of it, friendly attendants helping you find a space as it was quite busy as it was the Apple harvesting day.
Beautiful building and very well kept lawns and garden out the front of the main house, Beautifully landscaped. It's now run by The National Trust and all the people we came across were so friendly and knowledgeable about the history.

You walk into a beautiful hallway with large windows and beautiful mythological paintings on a stunning wooden staircase and on the ceiling. Its really a sight to behold and very impressive. The paintings were commissioned by Thomas Vernon the owner of Hanbury hall and were painted by Sir James Thornhill.

There were plenty of really lovely and helpful National Trust volunteers to tell us the history of Hanbury Hall and its occupants over the years. There's quite a few rooms to take a look at including The Smoking Room, The dining Room and the great Parlour. There's some lovely pieces of furniture, especially pottery which they had some amazing collections, some beautiful wood work and ceilings. If you like ornate buildings and history this is the place for you.
We found 2 tea rooms there but both were very busy due to the apple harvesting but they went as quickly as they could for the volume of people that were there. After we went down to the gardens which are gorgeous!. So well landscaped and taken care of they were a pleasure to look at. Lovely benches all around so you could take your lunch or like a couple we saw had taken there tray and sat in the gardens to eat.

We then went to have a look at the apple orchards which had several types of different apple trees. You had to purchase a bag for £4.00 and then you could take as much as you wanted but as we didn't need too many we didn't take loads but if you are planning to go might be best to check how many you can take. There was also a separate garden with fresh and Organic produce that you could purchase.
There's a lovely pond round to the back of the house with lots ducks for the children to feed but no fence around so need to be aware with small children.

Its surrounded by parkland with beautiful large trees and sheep grazing in the fields its a lovely day out and we saw lots of families there of all ages and we really loved it. If you decide to go let me know what you thought and if you enjoyed it!.
